You Can Learn to Detect Concealed Emotions
You might be surprised to learn that people can’t totally conceal their emotions. Or fake what they are feeling.
Dr. Ekman discovered that each of these emotions could be seen in what scientists call “microexpressions”. Microexpressions occur when people try to conceal or repress how they feel. While most facial expressions last for a few seconds, microexpressions are fast, lasting only about 1/25 of a second.
Research has found that most people say they are not able to see microexpressions. Now, with as little as forty minutes of training you can improve your ability to recognize emotions by being able to detect microexpressions. You can learn to see what you’ve been missing!
